## Frequently Asked Questions

### General Questions

#### What is the DX Portal?

The DX Portal is your central hub for accessing and managing DLR digital services. It provides a catalog of available APIs and services, documentation and resources for developers, user and team management, usage analytics and monitoring, and support and community resources.

#### How do I create an account?

To create an account, visit the [DX Portal](https://dx.dxm.digitalrealty.com/) and click on the "Login" button in the top right corner. Then click on "Register" to create a new account. For detailed instructions, see the Registration guide.

#### What environments are available?

We offer two environments:

- **Sandbox**: For development and testing with test data
- **Production**: For live applications with real data

For more information, see the Environments guide.

### API Questions

#### How do I authenticate my API requests?

You can authenticate your API requests using OAuth 2.0 with the client credentials flow. For detailed instructions, see the Getting Started guide.

#### What is the rate limit for API requests?

The rate limit varies by API and environment. In general, the Playground and Sandbox environments have lower rate limits than Production. For specific rate limits, refer to the documentation for each API.

API errors are returned with appropriate HTTP status codes and error messages in the response body. For common error codes and their solutions, see the Troubleshooting guide.
